Let’s go deeper.
About orders. What does that word mean to You? Quickly comes to my mind several different meanings. Also in few different ways, to receive or to give an order.
I could approach this matter from many different angles. I choose to approach it from from my own point of view according to my own experiencies.
Firstly few premises. The one who gives an order is responsible of everything what happens after it. If an order is accomplished in a way, that no one complains their will not be any sanctions. Order was decent and the result is decent, then all good. If even one person complains about an order then there is a discourse which needs to be resolved out.
If one is everything, everything is one. If one doesn’t agree, then there is no consensus. The order giver needs to stand up, take up the mentioned responsibility and make actions no matter what it takes to fix up issues.
Inevitably comes to my taughts army. Been there, done that. At the time it was awful. And after that it shows up even more awful.
If in armies, which are order based hierarchy systems, every order is escaleted to a higher ranked member, in the end the commander will show up. And the commander giving orders needs to take responsibility of the whole system.
As I go deeper into armies they are made to attack and / or to protect usually countries citizens of a foreign threat. Real or unreal. On the surface or beneath the surface. All the same. But the answer in the army, for some reason, is to kill the assumed threat in the end. And the order comes from the commander, the one who is the highest, as I know this from the reality and it is commonly shared fact.
But there is my point I like to go upside down. For me it is easier to think that killing is always wrong and I rather put the one who gives orders like that into discipline. It’s much easier to take over one person than let one person to control millions of humans to kill each other.
Are you still ready to take orders like that? I’m not!
After reading the above did it awake any taughts in You? If so please share them here and leave a comment.
Have a nice day!
