So called welfare society. But I don’t see, feel or even think that way. Let me explain.

If I want to feel comfortable it doesn’t come automatically so I need to make actions.

Here in Finland the most least action an individual needs to do is to go to an office run by the goverment to get some money to survive. That’s not too much. It covers housing costs, money for food and for bills (electricity, water, etc.). They say that Finland’s social secure system is the best in the world. Okay.

But then, if I want achieve something I need to do something. Social secure covers only the basic needs.

It other words it means working. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But so far according to my experience I say it’s not that easy. Why?

There are basically 2 options, to work for someone else or to be an entrepreneur. To get benefit, profit. But for who? The principal behind that claim is that in the end I work for myself, or for the ones I choose to work for.

But, again, the reality is different. There is a system. A calculation system. I work with a total sum of 100€ but after taxes I get, depending on the situation something like 70-80€. That’s when I’m an employee. But that’s not enough. The one who pays that money to me from a company has needed to pay Value Added Tax, employer expenses and other like invisible payments (taxes too) included in the prices of different products.

My question is do you have value of a lighter or do you have value a lighter worth of 3€?

And for whom I’m working for?

Light it up! Take care and enjoy!

-Harakka

Sometimes when I think about myself and everything around me many times it happens that my limit of understanding is not enough.
